Volunteering at the Snack Shack
There are many benefits volunteers can gain from working in our school Snack Shack. These include:
contributing to the school community,
contributing to the health and education of the students in the school,
making new friends,
learning new skills,
gaining the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of English if itis currently their second language, and
gaining skills that may be used in other employment.
Volunteering Involves
We would LOVE ideally 3-4 volunteers a day in the Snack Shack from 8:30am til 11:30am.
However, even if you have half an hour to spare on a random day please DROP IN! We would love to have you! No need to book – JUST TO ROCK UP!
Volunteering in the Snack Shack involves:
All food preparation is under the guidance of our wonderful Convenor and full training is given.
Signing In
To comply with School Policy, volunteers need to sign in at the Office and wear a "Volunteer" sticker. Any volunteers who are not parents of a Woombye State School student will also need to have a current Blue Card.
If you would like to volunteer in the Snack Shack please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always keen for an extra set of hands!
